Constructing wind farms at sea is a complex matter and this conference will deal with shipping/logistics/SCM challenges and opportunities for the wind industry.
Wind energy is a robust kind of renewable energy and the wind industry is growing fast to keep up with demand on a global basis. It is not easy to plan, construct, operate, and ultimately de-commission wind farm mega projects onshore as well as offshore. Offshore wind farms are faced with conditions which are exacerbated compared to onshore wind farms due to the extreme weather conditions at sea. This conference will look at offshore wind farms from a shipping and logistics perspective and highlight the challenges faced as well as the available opportunities.
